“the millenium falcon would wipe out the enterprise in seconds” lmao the enterprise is just an innocent science class floating thru space…. all they wanna do is look at some rocks… kiss an alien…. find some space plants….. why would you fight that its not a battleship theyre just nerds…… leave them olone
A friend of mine saw this and brought up some interesting arguments
so, in other words,
Pretty much.
here have some size comparison
good content
Lasers and blasters were considered obsolete (to the extent of uselessness) way before the federation was even founded.
a star destroyer probably wouldn’t pose much of a threat to even the NX Enterprise, and regarding the Millenium Falcon, the federation Enterprises all had tractor beams.
<…> Chekov actor Walter Koenig wrote a treatment for a movie that would have featured the original cast all forced into retirement for being too old and out of shape, only to be drafted back in to save the day in the middle of a Romulan/Klingon war. At the end of Koenig’s script, all of the crew except for Spock and McCoy would be dead, leaving the two survivors to carry on bickering into old(er) age.<…>
Spock and Scully even more so…finally someone who uses logic instead of jumping right into danger! The conversations they’d have!
Imagine how Scully would reason it out why Spock is there. Logically, he is a cosplayer. And that man over there is also a cosplayer. They are talking about their planet in different references along with a doctor who strikingly looks like Deforest Kelley. Something about preventing an all out disaster. She thinks this is about comic con. Mulder believes every word. Scully rationalizes everything from the Klingons, to the Romulans, to that walking living computer.
“It’s a automated prop.” Scully said.
The three men stare at her.
“That is not a prop, Miss Scully. Logically a prop would not be coming to life. Captain?” Spock asked.
“We have to get before it harms others.” Jim said.
“Is this how my life oils down to? Arguing that a machine is actually alive?” McCoy said. “Of course it does, now Miss Scully, let’s talk about robots in general… Do you know how to operate on a synthetic human robot?”
What if the trio needs to complete an important mission on 1990s earth (like many of the others they have done) and need the aid of the only ones that 1) will actually believe them and 2) have the leverage to help them? IE mulder and scully?
And scully thinks it’s complete bullshit up until the very end, when spock mind melds with her. And again, she tries to rationalize it, she thinks they have drugged her, but the images of those stars and planets and other worlds won’t get out of her head. She starts to believe.
Back in the future, Spock feels a pang of pain in the back of his head, a little hole that will never be filled again. Because by mind melding with her, he created a link, and now, centuries later, he’s feeling her death.
when spock is bent over the science station and jim just fully stands with his crotch against spock’s butt and asks “are you worried about your dying dad”
