After being downright cocky in “Under the Lake”, now we see what’s bubbling under the surface with Clara – fear of losing the Doctor. The same fear we see the Doctor exhibit throughout Series 9 regarding losing Clara. Clara and Twelve took the companion-Doctor relationship to unprecedented levels in Series 9.
My dream ending would be Clara somehow removing her cronolock tracks down the Tardis finds out The Doctor regenerated into the 13th Doctor so she starts crying blames herself for letting him down, then boom here comes a version of 12 walking out slowly all sad, touches Clara’s cheek and says “I’ve only got one life, one heart, and it could be yours, if you want”. She says “of course, you daft old man” boom the end. ❤️🙏🏼

As much as I love Twelve and Clara and miss them being together, can you imagine what would have happened if they stayed together? What the Doctor could have done for Clara? The stuff he would be willing to do?
Well, let’s start with a beautiful wedding ceremony… then a tiny baby hybrid and maybe another … crazy family life on the TARDIS, the awkwardness of having to explain Time Travel to the earth family and why the grandkids were 7 last time they saw them and now they’re 5… yes, I do think about it. All the time.
Jealous 12? – We all know that Robot of Sherwood was the first instance (at least for me) where the green-eyed monster reared it’s ugly head regarding Clara and Twelve. Here are a few screen caps where Twelve is happy that Clara has survived the fall into the moat, but seems to be pretty upset that Robin is now carrying her away in his arms.
I think we see a lot of jealousy in that ep. From the moment that Twelve sees Robin notice Clara’s beauty, Twelve seems to hate him on principle. Twelve has clearly seen Clara’s beauty for himself, though seeing her in period dress has an added effect on him as his eyes clearly rake her over. He told himself and her, at first, that he’s not her boyfriend … but his mask slips here. If she had looked at Twelve, his face would be an open book – he loves her.
Twelve’s thought process in that last gif: “Robin Hood is such a pudding br-Clara Clara Clara…”
